AnnMarie McCarthy

AnnMarie McCarthy is a native of Limerick. She has taken a degree in Fashion Design from the Limerick College of Art and Design. She has also garnered a diploma in Children’s Book Illustration from the London Art College and is an award-winning Children’s Knitwear Designer. Her first book was Fungie, on which Ré Ó Laighléis collaborated. AnnMarie and Ré further collaborated on Fungie & Mara – AnnMarie creating the illustrations and Ré writing the bilingual English/Irish text. Fungie & Mara was published in February 2011. A new edition of Fungie, with accompanying DVD was published in August 2011.
